Head of ategi Shared Lives Services
Tim works for ategi, a not for profit organisation providing a range of support services to vulnerable adults. He has managed ategi’s Shared Lives Services since starting the scheme in 2001 and delivers Shared Lives services in Wales and England. He previously worked for the Vale of Glamorgan Adult Placement Scheme for 5 years, as Manager for 18 months. He has worked extensively in the Care sector with 24 years experience in providing and developing supported accommodation for learning disabled adults and children within local authorities and with Mencap Homes Foundation in South West England. Tim spent 5 years undertaking assessments and providing support services to children and young people.
Tim chairs the Shared Lives Plus Cymru committee and is a Trustee of Shared Lives Plus. He is passionate about the development of small, community based services, in particular Shared Lives, and sees Community Catalysts as a positive way of enabling Shared Lives Plus to provide strong support to its members while helping local authorities recognise the many advantages of small community services and enabling them to deliver effective provision.
