Lorna Reid Micro-Services Co-ordinator

Lorna is a graduate of Wolverhampton University with a BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Sociology. Lorna previously worked within local government in various roles (including Housing Officer and Tenancy Sustainment Officer) in the social and supported housing sector in Wolverhampton for more than 16 years before taking up post as Community Catalysts Micro-Services Co-ordinator in Dudley.

A born and bred “Wulfrunian”, Lorna also served as a Board Director for a local charity, Blakenhall Action Community Forum (BACF) in Wolverhampton, which acted as an umbrella organisation and support mechanism to small local community groups and associations within one of the most deprived areas in Wolverhampton. The area was one of 39 areas in the UK chosen by Communities and Local Government as a “New Deal for communities” area whereby £53 million was invested in the area over a 10-year period. Lorna was instrumental in transferring her local knowledge in the early stages of this regeneration project and continues to be a Community Chest Assessor with the New Deal for Communities project, which is shortly coming to the end of its 10-year period.

Outside of work Lorna resides in Wolverhampton with her partner and teenage daughter. She enjoys walking, reading and volunteering within her local community.
