Keith Hipwood
Keith was a Social worker for a London Authority for 37 years. He managed a Shared Lives service there for 21 years and also an Outreach Support Team for 6 years.
He was also one of the early supporters in the late 80′s of the British Association of Social Workers “Special Interest Group” that later became NAAPS in 1992, then Shared Lives in 2009. Initially he was National Secretary and in more recent years the Chair of the London Region.
He is a passionate advocate for the rights and empowerment of people with a learning disability and is still involved in the provision of services to meet their needs. He has offered consultancy, training and workshops on various issues impacting on Shared Lives and Micro Enterprises.
