Community Catalysts are proud to have supported local community business Forge Urban Revival, who have just been honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Forge was given the award for its work in offering activities and opportunities to combat social isolation and improve mental well-being. Forge offers a number of arts and craft-based activities which bring the local community together to learn, have fun and enjoy each other’s company.

Ann Johnson (above), the driving force behind Forge, was supported through our two-year Enterprising Communities Project funded by Power to Change.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK to recognise exceptional service within their communities.
