Exciting new community micro-enterprise project in Cheshire West and Chester
I love communities, and everything we have to offer…I want to help connecting up those offers!
I’m Sonia and I recently joined Community Catalysts to lead a new 2 year project in Cheshire West and Chester. Working in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council through UKSPF funding, the project aims to build on local people’s strengths, supporting them to start up their own community micro-enterprises offering care and support to other local people.
Since launching in January, we have already supported 6 community micro-enterprise leaders to get set up.
I want to support as many people as possible to set up their own community micro-enterprises, creating a whole range of options so that people have control and a real choice over the support they draw on.
As well as helping people to set up new community micro-enterprises, we can also advise small groups and organisations already established who may be looking to diversify or extend what they offer.
I am really passionate about local people helping and supporting other local people
The project will initially focus on the rural area such as Tarvin, Tarporley, Malpas, Farndon and Frodsham, however, we would like community micro-enterprises to spread across the whole of Cheshire West and Chester!
We are excited to be working with Community Catalysts to develop a broader range of care and support services for people across Cheshire West and Chester. This is a real opportunity for us to work creatively with communities to develop local services and local jobs to support people to live great lives.
