East ADASS Asset Based Approaches to Care and Support

The East of England Association of Directors of Social Services (Prevention and Personalisation Network) are running an event for personalisation leads, commissioners, providers and frontline staff to share best practice in relation to asset based approaches.
Helen and Nick will be presenting with Les Billingham, Interim Director at Thurrock Borough Council on “Inclusive communities and powerful approaches to change”. They will share how the two approaches of Local Area Coordination and community enterprise development have worked well together in the borough, to help people to have a good life; as well as great outcomes from our community enterprise development programmes in Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Central Bedfordshire.

Sian is attending the National Children and Adult Services Conference in Bournemouth this year. The event brings together leaders in social care across England for three days from 20th to the 22nd November. It provides a great opportunity to network as well as understand current trends and preoccupations in social care.
