The evaluation was compiled by the University of York.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation reviews data collected along with interviews with people who have made use of Local Area Coordination, community members and Local Area Coordinators.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation outlines broadly that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is evidence of Local Area Coordinators supporting those who do not meet current eligibility and addressing isolation<\/li>\n<li>There is evidence of developing non-service solutions that are preventative<\/li>\n<li>People have been able to upskill and volunteer as a result of Local Area Coordinator support<\/li>\n<li>People have been able to build a positive vision and plan for their future as a result of Local Area Coordinator support<\/li>\n<li>Local Area Coordinators enable people to be heard<\/li>\n<li>There is potential for cost deferral<\/li>\n<li>Local Area Coordination can have a positive impact on community and system change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitycatalysts.co.uk\/lacnetwork\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/04\/190415-Local-Area-Coordination-Summative-Report-15_-4_19FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read the full evaluation here<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMy experience of the Coordinators is that they\u2019re able to catch the people as they\u2019re falling, before they\u2019ve hit the bottom, whereas a lot of other support agencies the people have hit the bottom and been there for a while before support is available, because there isn\u2019t the support there.\u201d \u2013 Community Stakeholder<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Have a look at all of the Local Area Coordination evaluations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitycatalysts.co.uk\/lacnetwork\/\/local-area-coordination\/evidence-base\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false,"gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"html"}]},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The summative evaluation of the Local Area Coordination programme in York, compiled by the University of York, has now been published.
