Community Catalysts CIC is a busy, buzzy social enterprise that tries hard to live up to its name. We’re starting the next stage of a piece of work in The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) and need an energetic and imaginative person to coordinate things for us.
As an organisation we help enterprising people and community organisations to offer care and support to local people. The care and support they offer is always on a very small (micro) scale, really personal and often delivered in creative and quirky ways. In this way we help people to get the care they need to live the life they want.
To do this job you must: • Understand the world of care – but maybe feel it could do with a bit of a shake up. • Understand small organisations – what they need to get off the ground and stay there. • Be a real people person – able to work well with all sorts of folks with confidence. • Instinctively make connections – and join up dots that are sometimes less than obvious. • Be able to spot what people are good at and nurture it.
The post holder will be employed by Community Catalysts CIC and hosted by LBBD Council. The project will link with other great stuff that is happening locally. If you have any specific questions contact: Helen Allen, Manager of Enterprise and Community Innovation at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for applications: 24th September 2014 and interviews will take place in Barking and Dagenham on Friday 10th October 2014.
