Barrow Cadbury Trust – Local Economic Impact Study

With the support of Barrow Cadbury Trust, the New Economics Foundation conducted research in 2019 into the local economic impact of support for community micro-enterprise delivering health and care.

The findings were presented at round tables in Leeds and Birmingham in November 2019, where recommendations for future actions to promote inclusive care economies were agreed. The final report with recommendations was published in May 2020.

The richness in micro-providers is that – because they emerge from the interests and passions of individual people, and their lived experience – you get a massive variety and diversity of support coming into the sector.
