Support people in Birmingham

Offer care and support to people with a learning disability or autism in Birmingham

We can help you either:

  • get set up as self-employed offering flexible 1:1 support
  • set up a community group or activity

Offer 1:1 support

Would you like to support people on a one-to-one basis to access things like exercise classes or crafts and arts, enjoying a cuppa in a local café or meeting up with friends?

We will help you to set up as self-employed and make sure you have everything in place to be confident you are following best practice.

Set up a community group or activity

Could you offer an accessible activity like painting classes, dance, cooking, singing yoga, or something else?

We can help you set up a community enterprise to offer paid-for or free groups or classes.

You don’t need any business or care experience to get our support but you do need to know what good care and support  looks like and want to help people near you.

If you want to know more leave your details and we will contact you to tell you more about our free support.

We are Community Catalysts and every day we help passionate people like you to get set up offering care and support. We are funded by Birmingham City Council  and can help you every step of the way to get set up.

By setting up your own small enterprise or working for yourself you can:

  • Help your community and be proud of the great support that you offer
  • Work locally
  • Choose your own hours and work flexibly
  • Set a fair rate of pay
