Mentoring and advising a local council lead tasked with stimulating and supporting local community enterprises.
Latter work has a specific focus on the cultural and systems changes needed to ensure that the use of community-led support and services becomes mainstream. The project has been highly successful, supporting over 100 community enterprises which now have a place in a vibrant local directory.
The project runs alongside an active and successful Local Area Coordination programme which helps people in Thurrock to build their vision for a good life, stay strong and connected.
Since first working with Community Catalysts in 2015 we have always found the organisation to be highly collaborative, flexible and innovative; hence the iterative way the partnership has developed since the original commission to support with Micro-enterprise development. The Community Catalysts staff team is highly professional and very skilled, always willing to work alongside partners to agree a creative approach to finding solutions and deliver what is required, as opposed, sometimes, to what was originally conceived. We would highly recommend Community Catalysts to any organisation who are considering working with them.
