Dementia friendly communities

Memory Support Hertfordshire work in partnership with the council. They are currently launching support for places in Herts to become Dementia Friendly Communities.

The Alzheimer’s Society defines a dementia friendly community as:

“A city, town, or village where people with dementia are understood, respected, and supported, and confident they can contribute to community life.”

Soon those accredited as being Dementia Friendly will be available for you to browse and search, so that you can find the best Dementia Friendly places, classes, and organisations that have become Dementia champions in our community.
