Safeguarding adults at risk: Level 1

Hertfordshire Community Foundation are running a ‘Safeguarding adults at risk: Level 1’ course on Tuesday 25th February 2025 from 9:30 – 13:30 at the Focolare Centre for Unity in Welwyn Garden City. This course is for new staff and volunteers working in a voluntary sector social care environment who have not attended this safeguarding adults course before, or those who haven’t attended this course within the past two years and might need a refresher. The course costs £20 for VCSE (Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise) organisations in Hertfordshire, or £40 for non-VCSE organisations with charitable aims.

This course covers:

  • The main principles of safeguarding adults and the key responsibilities of individuals that work with adults at risk, or their families.
  • The Care Act 2014 & the HCC multi-agency policy and procedures.
  • Who to talk to and what to do if you have concerns.
