Disabled people having fun

Feeling unsatisfied by the activities or social opportunities available in Taunton, Ben decided to take things into his own hands. With the support of his personal assistant, Ben set up the social group ‘Disabled People Having Fun’, a sports and social club for people with a disability at the YMCA in Taunton.

Held every Wednesday morning and open to all, the group offers a range of sports, activities and social nights, with last year’s highlight being a Jessie J tribute night! In addition to regular activities like boccia, cricket and a quiz, Ben encourages members to suggest activities and help run the group.
