Urban Growth

Urban Growth was founded in 2014, to improve Londoners’ wellbeing by creating and maintaining therapeutic green spaces with the people who use them. They specialise in supporting vulnerable adults into rewarding, well-paid, socially responsible work. They do this by working with businesses, councils and charitable organisations to create and sustain beautiful, biodiverse communal gardens where people and nature can thrive. They work primarily in Lambeth, Southwark and Greenwich, where they host weekly volunteering sessions at PopBrixton, the Brixton Orchard and the Jetty. They have also designed and installed gardens inside and out in all corners of London and, in June 2018, installed their first show garden, at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. They are motivated by the healing and inspirational power of plants, which they want to see in every home, workspace and London street.
