Lisa Gillette

Project Manager

I joined Community Catalysts as Project Manager in January 2020 having worked in the voluntary and community sector for over 20 years.   I am passionate about working collaboratively with people to overcome challenges, ensuring their voices are heard and enabling them to have choice and control in their lives.

I began my career with Citizens Advice helping people to get the information and advice they needed to resolve their problems, identify policy issues and campaigning to make the changes needed.  Since then I have been fortunate to work alongside amazing people to co-produce projects such as the Eastbourne Shed, a place where people over 50 could experience the joy of pottering about in a shed with others.   As Director of Social Enterprise at Age Concern Eastbourne I set up a homecare service as well as becoming an Assessor for the Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.

Outside of work I volunteer for a local theatre and also run regular fundraising race nights with a couple of friends to support small, local charities.
