Community Enterprise Catalyst (Cumbria - South Lakes)

Jade is delighted to be the Community Enterprise Catalyst for South Lakes, Cumbria to help diversify the local care offer and nurture creative community solutions to care across the rurally isolated county.

Cumbria already has a rich social entrepreneurship culture as an official Social Enterprise County; Jade is looking forward to nurturing this community creativity and resilience by supporting local people to provide localised care. With a varied background in Health and Social Care, she has a deep understanding of the systems, services and communities across Cumbria. Working as a Social Care Support Officer ignited her passion for strengths-based assessment and co-production with a shift toward the ‘Three Conversations Model’ in Social Care.

Jade recently set up the Social Prescribing Link Worker service for Mid Furness PCN along with her colleague; she designed the service proposal, completed asset-based community mapping, tracked service provision gaps, initiated community projects and developed community links and partnerships. She also facilitated a ‘Craft for Wellbeing’ group with the Adult Learning team targeted at those with low level anxiety and/or depression- the group is set to keep running and hopefully expand to help others.

Outside of work you’ll find Jade up the fells, mountain biking, foraging or at her allotment.
