Community Enterprise Catalyst (Rochdale Borough)

Before joining Community Catalysts, I worked within the charity sector to establish a breastfeeding service to support new mums in Oldham and Tameside. I was also a regional coordinator for Bliss – the charity for babies born premature or sick – where I set up a programme of support and advise networks and neonatal units on a variety of areas.

I joined Community Catalysts in April 2019 working across Rochdale to support local people set up micro-enterprises that help older people and adults with a learning disability to live a good life.

I enjoy the challenge of setting up new initiatives and seeing projects through from start to finish. I like to share ideas and hear others ideas to improve and develop services. I’m a strong advocate for ensuring everyone has a voice and the opportunity to develop their ideas. I am also an active volunteer within my GP Patient Participation group and I ran a voluntary support group for parents of premature babies for more than 10 years.
