Louise Garrahan

Communications Manager

I joined the team in December 2019 as Communications Manager to develop and deliver the communications and Public Relations strategy for Community Catalysts.

I started my career as a journalist, writing everything from hard hitting news to real life features for national media, then moved into PR in 2008 to promote the outstanding work of high profile charities. I have managed many national campaigns including Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sport Relief and the Poppy Appeal.

I am hugely passionate about promoting good causes by sharing real life success stories with the media and I am delighted to be part of this dynamic team who work tirelessly to support people to live their best lives. It is a pleasure to promote the organisation’s values and vision within health and social care.

Outside of work I enjoy cycling, reading and jigsaws, although more often than not, you will probably find me drowning in a ball pool at a soft play centre – much to the amusement of my two young children.
