Following graduation from Southampton University (1:1) in 2007 Rhys worked in various direct support and leadership roles in health and social care. The focus of Rhys’ work has always been championing the personalisation agenda in Somerset.
In 2014 Rhys joined Community Catalysts to co-ordinate the Community Micro-enterprise Project in Somerset. In four years, the project supported the development of 253 new home help or home care type enterprises and 16 local peer support networks in Somerset. Rhys is experienced in community engagement, network development and working across the health and social care system to remove barriers to choice. Rhys is currently a Senior Catalyst for Community Catalysts supporting community homecare programmes alongside being a Senior Commissioning Officer for Somerset County Council, embedding Community Enterprise in Somerset.
