Community Catalysts, in partnership with London Borough of Camden Council, are inviting local authorities to join a learning programme to develop Family and Group Conferencing (FGC) for Adults.

FGC for adults offers a powerful preventive approach, placing people at the centre of their own care and enabling them to draw on the strengths and resources of their families, friends and communities.  By supporting people early to mobilise their networks, the approach helps prevent escalation of need and reduces reliance on high‑cost services.

‘Test and Learn Together’ will bring together a small cohort of councils to design, test and embed FGC for Adults approaches tailored to local context and need. The programme combines University of Birmingham research, Camden Council’s decade of delivery experience, and Community Catalysts’ expertise in social care and community‑led change.

What’s involved in the Test and Learn Together

  • Co‑design of an evidence‑informed FGC for Adults offer
  • Peer learning with participating councils
  • Tailored support to design and pilot a local approach
  • Formative evaluation to support learning and wider adoption

Delivery is primarily online, with opportunities for face-to-face engagement in London.

Cost: £6,000 + VAT
