Lisa started with Community Catalysts in January 2024 to cover maternity leave for Victoria Armitage.

Prior to joining us, Lisa spent 12 years with a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, initially as a project manger for a social enterprise and then moving into a communication role for the organisation. Alongside this work, she volunteered, over many years, with various local community groups to offer creative learning and art projects to encourage connection and inclusion.

In 2017, she co-founded a support group for creative carers after seeing a gap in local provision and being amongst the right cohort of people to make it happen, including a Community Catalyst.

Her lived experience supporting a family member, who is autistic, highlighted what impact an unseen disability can have. As a result she recently offered her skills as a volunteer for Accessible Herefordshire, helping businesses and organisations improve access for residents and visitors in the County.

Other interests include textile crafts and she will find any excuse to visit an independent yarn shop.
