Lynsey’s career in health and social care has spanned more than 10 years, working in different roles, such as Support Worker, Care Co-ordinator and Deputy Manager. Her work alongside a wide range of professionals has given Lynsey the skills and experience she applies when leading people and supporting them to ensure the provision of safe and good quality support.

More recently, Lynsey completed Community Catalysts’ development programme, following which, she ran her own successful community micro-enterprise. As part of this, her focus and her passion were to provide people in Copeland with the help they wanted and which suited them best. Her prior experience has allowed her to recognise the importance of offering people real choice and control.

In her current role as the local Community Catalyst, Lynsey is looking forward to working with people from different walks of life, giving them the advice and guidance they need to run successful micro-enterprises. Copeland has extremely rural areas where it can be very difficult to find good care and support. As such, Lynsey is committed to develop strong connections in these parts and empower local people helping other local people, so they can remain living in their homes if they so wish.

Outside of work, Lynsey loves nothing more than spending time and creating beautiful memories with her own little family.
