Anna joined Community Catalysts in July 2021 as the Community Enterprise Catalyst for East Cambridgeshire. The two year project focus was to help local people develop new enterprises to offer help and support to older and disabled people in their local area. Anna has moved into the role of National Project Support to use her knowledge and skills to assist other Catalysts across the country and provide support for new projects.
Originally Anna trained in London as a secondary drama teacher with a Special Educational Needs specialism, and spent time working in Autism units across Brighton and Cambridgeshire as well as working for a drama school part time. She moved into working for the Local Authority in Cambridge where she has held a variety of roles over the last 18 years which included multi-disciplinary work, working with schools, families and across social care, health and education with a continued interest in Learning Disabilities and Autism. She worked in the Children’s Commissioning sector specialising in SEND services. Anna also spent some time working freelance running her own consultancy business, assisting both small businesses and charities with their business plans, marketing and fundraising. She has also worked as a job coach for a disability charity supporting young adults into employment.
In her spare time Anna loves listening to music, charity shop shopping, going and taking part in theatre (she loves a musical!), yoga, live comedy and music festivals.
