Karen has worked in administration for many years and joined the Civil Service as a school leaver to work at the local Royal Navy Spare Parts Depot before starting a family.

For the last 20 years she has worked in various roles for a local government Adult Education provider.

Karen has a passion for sewing and papercraft and has recently introduced a new member to the Waites family in the form of a Cockapoo puppy Charlie. Karen can also be found travelling down south to Nottingham on her days off to see the grandchildren.
