Autumn is here in Cardiff – the season of fresh starts, golden leaves, and new opportunities. Last week, on Thursday 18th September 2025, we had the pleasure of spending a busy and inspiring day at the Cardiff Jobs Fair at Sport Wales, Sophia Gardens. The hall was buzzing with people eager to explore new pathways, and it was wonderful to see so much interest in care, support, and community-focused work. We spoke with people who wanted to:

• Turn their passion for helping others into a small business.
• Find flexible, meaningful work rooted in their neighbourhoods.
• Explore how they might support people who are older, or adults with disabilities, in their own community.

The response reassured us of something we’ve always believed: Cardiff is full of people with the skills, heart, and creativity to make a difference; often all they need is a bit of support to get started.
