Hertfordshire ACS Learning and Development are running an online training session Food Hygiene on Monday, 8 June, 1:00pm – 3:30pm. Tickets are from £30 and please note this course is for individuals who provide Adult Health and Social care in Hertfordshire or who support Hertfordshire residents only.

The training session will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the principles of Food Safety level 1. Participants will look at safe methods of handling and preparing food according to current legislation and control measures.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand what food safety and food poisoning are
• Understand food poisoning signs
• Increase knowledge of different food groups
• Understand contamination hazards and prevention techniques
• Increase the knowledge and importance of personal hygiene
• Understand storage and temperature control requirements
• Increase the knowledge of cleaning and disinfection
• Increase the knowledge of pest control techniques
