I am Amanda, a self employed carer with over 15 years’ experience in nursing and care.
I have vast experience in all sectors. I pride myself in delivering quality care to meet your individual needs, hence U-nique Care being born.
My specialist area of help and support is with the elderly, dementia care/support and mental health support.
I have a passion for supporting people and tailoring care around their needs and personalities (making it person centred). I have completed various courses in dementia care, diabetes management, catheter care, PEG feeding and medication management to name a few. I also support end of life clients working alongside community services and healthcare professionals.
I offer help and assistance with:
*personal care (washing, shaving, dressing)
*medication assistance and collection of prescriptions etc.
*meal preparation
*days/trips out (I have good links with local groups, many are free of charge!)
*dementia specialist, I know how to work alongside you/your loved one with time and patience, no rushing around!
* pet care – as an animal lover myself I know how much it means to trust someone to look after your pets. This may be walking your dog, feeding your cat etc.
*help and assistance with appointments and visits.

*DBS checked for adults and children
*carers insurance and car insurance for business purposes
