PAUL KENNY

I used to be a lawyer before making a career change in 2009 and went to work in children’s homes for Devon County Council. When these were shut, I got a job in the Devon County Council Learning Disability Team in 2013, which merged into a general social care team in 2015. I qualified as a social worker in 2018 but left social services in 2021 due to the pressure of work. I worked as a gardener from 2021 until 2022 but decided to get back to work supporting people. From 2022 to 2024 I have worked as an enabler for people with a wide range of disabilities.
To my practice, I bring a huge enthusiasm and variety of skills and interests, as examples I am qualified in horticulture and am a very good cook. My main passion is enabling, especially with people who experience a learning disability, to support people to be as independent as possible to allow them to live happy and fulfilled lives.
