Apply for a grant to run local community events that enhance the lives of people over the age of 55

Home Instead Charities run a grant programme to support local community events which enhance and enrich the lives of people over the age of 55, for example helping them to combat loneliness and isolation, or ensuring they stay fit, active, healthy, and connected, as well as contributing to their local communities and groups etc.

They can fund regular weekly or monthly events and activities such as weekly cinema club, weekly knit and natter, or Thursday lunch club, one-off activities such as a day trip or a Christmas lunch, and other activities such as yoga or a guest speaker for your group (e.g. a local historian).

They will be opening applications for funding four times per year in January, April, July, and October.

If you are a small grass roots organisation, you can apply for funding up to £500.

If you are a small local registered charity, you can apply for funding up to £1,500.
