Community health & wellbeing event

Are you looking for ways to improve your health, access reliable support, and connect with local services that truly care? Then make sure to join the information event for health and wellbeing at Chirk Parish Hall (Holyhead Road, Chirk, Wrexham, LL14 5NA) on Wednesday 28th May from 12:00 – 14:00. The event will be focused on empowering individuals and strengthening community connections around health, and is organised by AVOW in conjunction with BCUHB and North Wales Police.

About the event

This free event is designed for everyone in the community, from families and older adults to young people and caregivers. It offers a friendly and accessible way to learn more about the services available to support your health and wellbeing, whether you are seeking advice, exploring local resources, or simply looking to take that first step towards a healthier lifestyle. There will be a craft activity during the event, as well as teas, coffees, and biscuits available throughout the day.

Working together for better health

Hosted in the heart of Chirk, this event brings together local health professionals, support organisations, charities, and community services. It is a collaborative effort to make access to information easier and more effective for everyone, regardless of background or current health needs.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Speak directly with health and wellbeing specialists.
  • Get guidance on managing long-term conditions.
  • Access mental health and emotional wellbeing resources.
  • Learn about local support groups and social activities.
  • Receive tips for healthier eating, staying active, and more.
