Hertfordshire County Council’s ACS (Adult Care Services) Learning & Development Team are running an in-person Dementia Communication Skills course on Friday 24 July, 9:30am – 4.30pm at the Hertfordshire Development Centre in Stevenage.

The aim of the course is to:

provide an overview of how internal and external factors influence communication in an         individual with dementia
provide a range of communication tools to enable individuals to work in creative ways to        respond flexibly to the changing needs of the individual with dementia
Tickets for this course is from £40, and is for individuals who provide Adult Health and Social care in Hertfordshire or who support Hertfordshire residents only

Healthcare Needs of People with a Learning Disability

Hertfordshire County Council’s ACS (Adult Care Services) Learning & Development Team are running an in-person Healthcare Needs of People with a Learning Disability course on Monday 10 August, 10:00am – 1pm at the Box Moor Trust in Hemel Hempstead. Tickets are from £30, and the course is for individuals who provide Adult Health and Social care in Hertfordshire or who support Hertfordshire residents only.

This course will provide a basic understanding of the healthcare needs of people with learning disabilities and how to maintain good physical health.
