A little loving care and companionship

This provider has yet to add availability information.

Hi, my name is Linda, I have worked as a carer for over 35 years plus, 24 working with the NHS learning disability team. I worked in the hospital in the community in the reablement team  before going self-employed in 2022. I have also worked for agencies and in residential and nursing homes before joining the NHS disability team in 1997.

I love my job supporting people in the community. The people and families I support have said I have been invaluable at their time of needing support.

I have gained over the years lots of knowledge and experience in care and support.

I am a happy person. I have two children and my little doggie. I’m originally from Dumfries. I moved to Banbury in the eighties. I love walking my dog, swimming and spending time with family and friends.

I love to care and support people to do everyday tasks and activities and keep the valuable skills they have. I promote encouragement with lots of emotional support and person-centered care. I am flexible with times of support needed.

I have business insurance, enhanced DBS and all my training is up to date. My list isn’t exclusive, please ask if there is support you need that is not on my flyer.

I can support you with a sitting service/ companionship, appointments, prompt medication, personal care, emotional support, days out, practical support, meal prep, light household duties with care and compassion – this list is not exclusive.

I am 91yrs old and am becoming increasingly frail, Linda attends my home twice a week, each occasion being a highlight of that week,I could offer many tributes to demonstrate Linda's infinite skills as a carer, companion and I hope friend but will content myself with the comment that she is an example of the very best and deserves recognition as such. My mother has dementia and poor mobility and Linda is wonderful at getting her active through seated dancing and gentle but fun exercises. She also encourages her to watch and sing along with music videos and generally brightens up her days with her visits. Linda is also extremely good with helping her with personal care but still encouraging her to be somewhat independent. An absolute all round star and we couldn’t rate her higher.

Linda's care of my husband, and her awareness of his Alzheimers and how it affected him, was wonderful. She has a natural understanding, and a great sense of humour, and is also very practical. Peter enjoyed her company, and she helped me a lot too - her advice to me about remembering to try and look myself as well was invaluable. She helped us both during a very difficult time, and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Linda is a very caring, conscientious and trusted individual. She goes over and above with her level of care provided. The support she gives to the family is also welcoming and very much appreciated. There needs to be more Linda's! We were very lucky.

Linda’s help and support has been invaluable when I have needed some respite care for my partner who has complex needs. Linda is always professional and caring, and I know that I can have a break leaving my partner in capable hands. I have no hesitation in recommending Linda..
