Hi, my name is Alison.  I am a mature lady, based in Dover (Kent), who has ‘hands-on’ experience working alongside individuals with learning difficulties, health and medical needs, age-related difficulties, and those receiving end-of-life care.  This experience has been in further education, nursing homes and as part of community care within individual’s own homes.  Alongside this, I have familial experience of autism and mental health needs – the challenges and the successes!

I decided to develop my skills further by offering a bespoke, individualised service – ALPHA Services – to adults of various ages and needs, helping them to remain within their own homes, get ‘out and about’ and live as independent and enjoyable a life as possible.

I can help with everyday tasks such as preparation of simple meals or doing the laundry, to enable clients to use public transport to access community-based activities and venues, through to more personal support such as assistance with washing, dressing and continence care.   Irrespective of the support required, companionship is ‘part of the package’ to help combat loneliness and thus support each individual’s mental wellbeing and, if all you want is a chat with a friendly face then so be it!  Your support = your choice!

Care and support can be short- or long-term, occasional or on a regular basis.  It really is up to you.  The initial consultation, in your own home, is free of charge and fees thereafter reflect your unique package. I look forward to meeting you.
