When I set up this company, my mum Ann was receiving care at home. Watching her go through such a difficult time was incredibly hard, but it also showed me just how important good care really is.
Mum was a kind and gentle person who always put others first. She had a warm heart and a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for, and those qualities stayed with her throughout her life.
Towards the end of her life, I spoke to Mum about creating a care company in her name, something that would reflect the kindness, warmth and respect she showed to others. She gave me her blessing, and that moment has stayed with me ever since and is the inspiration for everything we do.
Now that my lovely mum has passed, Ann’s Gentle Hands is my way of honouring her and keeping her memory at the heart of everything we do. This company is dedicated to her, and to making sure others receive the same dignity, compassion and genuine care that meant so much to our family.
We understand how important it is for people to feel safe, respected, and not alone. That’s why we are passionate about providing not just support, but true companionship, because sometimes, a kind presence can mean just as much as practical help. “We care for every client as if they were one of our own family. “
