Bloom Buddies

This provider has yet to add availability information.

Hello, my name is Jo.

I’ve been working in horticulture for 6 years and qualified at Hadlow College. I have finally plucked up the courage to go it alone and set up my own “companion gardening” service which was inspired by my Dad who has Parkinson’s. Despite his physical limitations, he didn’t want to just hand over the maintenance of his garden to someone else as he’s always enjoyed working on it, so I work alongside him, taking on the more difficult tasks whilst he does the bits he can.  My Mum is his full time carer and struggles to keep on top of the garden, so we work together to get the tasks done that she or my Dad would normally have done.  They also appreciate having someone to chat to as we work.

This led me to setup “Bloom Buddies” as I think others that have age or physical limitations, still want to benefit from the joy of gardening.  I believe that the joy of gardening should remain a part of your life, regardless of the hurdles you face.  I can help with general maintenance – mowing, pruning, planting, dividing etc.

I also have a lovely therapy dog, who I can bring along with me if you would like some furry company.

If this sounds like something you would find beneficial or have any questions, please do contact me and we can have a chat.

My website contains all the information you need.

Thank you!
