Bloomin’ Well CIC

Blooming Well (BW) is a community interest company based in Clophill, Bedfordshire, dedicated to providing social and therapeutic horticultural (STH) activities. The project was inspired by my personal journey with mental health challenges. Struggling with my own mental health issues, I discovered the profound therapeutic benefits of gardening. This personal experience motivated me to create Blooming Well, a place where others could also find solace and improvement through horticulture. Our programs encompass general maintenance, sowing, planting, and selling products grown on 1.5 acres of agricultural land, serving adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and those who are neurodivergent (including autism, Asperger’s, and ADHD). Our mission is to enhance the wellbeing of individuals who are isolated, disadvantaged, or vulnerable.

Service Availability:

  • For Learning Disabilities and Autism: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • For Mental Health Challenges: Saturdays from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Referral Information:

  • To request a referral form, please email.
  • A daily charge applies for weekday services, which can be funded through the council. We also accept private referrals.

Additional Services:

  • Gardening Activities at Biggleswade Hospital: We offer gardening sessions for adults with mental health difficulties on approximately 0.25 acres of land within the hospital grounds, currently held one day a week. Please note that participation in this program is restricted to patients of the Community Mental Health Team.
