Brains Matter

Availability information last updated: 22nd June, 2026

A brain injury following a traumatic accident can have a profound and lasting impact on every part of a person’s life.

Brains Matter is a charity dedicated to supporting people who have sustained a brain injury, as well as their families and loved ones, whose lives may also be significantly affected.

The charity provides advice, guidance and practical support to help people understand the sensory, physical, cognitive and emotional effects of brain injury. Brains Matter also helps individuals access appropriate rehabilitation services, build social networks and find the pathway towards greater independence and a better quality of life.

Brains Matter offers therapeutic activities and social networking opportunities at Munro House in Tunbridge Wells on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The charity also provides a wellbeing service for people living in their own homes. A weekly drop-in service with social activities takes place at The Brenchley, 91 High Street, Maidstone, every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and specialist support is available at Munro House on Thursday mornings.
