Hello,
My name is Lou, I am an artist, nature lover and proud neurodivergent. I have happily worked with people with learning disabilities and/ or autism for the last eight years.
In that time, I have worked with various organisations and charities, run daily creative workshops, supported people in their home and generally had a lovely time and learnt a lot.
I have come to realise that the best way for people to benefit from my creativity and artistic knowledge is for me to keep things small. By working with just one person or a small group at a time I can adapt and tailor my approach to individual interests and needs. Providing truly person centred support unrestricted by the logistics of a larger organisation
Brambles and Brushstrokes is my response to this.
It is a holistic, nature inspired craft support service. Open to anyone who may benefit from it, young or old.
It is for creative people, whether sensory seeking or avoidant who find grounding in nature, mindfulness in making and regulation in using their hands to create.
If this sounds like you or someone you know please do get in contact.
I offer morning, afternoon or all day sessions. I work from hired venues. I also offer a mobile service and can come to your home.
If you would like more information please do contact me.
I’m excited to hear from you.
-Lou.
N.B – Brambles and Brushstrokes is a support service. I do not provide personal care.
