For the last 30 years I have worked self employed on a mobile basis mainly visiting older clients in their own homes. During the last few years this has led to clients and/or their relations asking me to provide various other services to help support them in their daily lives. Realising the benefits this support has successfully provided and enjoying it so much, I have decided to branch out and as of December 2016 I have relaunched as ‘By your Side’ delivering support on a friendly personal basis, customised around the clients needs, giving them confidence knowing they can build a genuine friendship and trust by having the same person on a regular or ‘as and when required’ basis.
Elderly support – If you have an older relation who needs someone to sit with them on a 1-1 basis feel free to contact me for a chat. Our busy lives often mean we haven’t the time to pop in as we really would like to and I could provide your loved one with valuable support and company putting your mind at rest. This can also include taking the client to an appointment or outing.
Dementia sitting service/support – sitting service to relieve the carer and give them valuable ‘me’ time or to assist them to make life easier.
General household help – I can do the general household duties needed to keep the house running, washing, ironing, sorting or tidying. Either for or with the client if its support and help that’s needed.
My other services include –
I am happy to provide regular bookings or an ‘as and when needed’ service with no other commitment.
I have a Facebook page which can be accessed in the Details section on my listing below and where I have uploaded several references for viewing. I have completed several Dementia, Mental health, and Safeguarding courses, and I have an up to date DBS check and liability insurance and personal reference from clients’ relations. I am happy to produce all of these certificates if required.
I pride myself on my person centred approach to any support I give.
Please do feel free to get in touch for an informal chat to make an enquiry with no obligation.
