I am Josephine from West Cumbria. As a 54-year-old mother of three adult children and grandmother to two wonderful grandsons, I bring a warm, family-oriented approach to my work.
I volunteer at my local village hall, and my hobbies include walking, crafting, gardening, and floristry – activities that keep me energised and connected to my community.
With many years in the care industry, I’ve supported elderly residents, adults and children with special needs, and served as a teaching assistant in a special needs school. I keep up with ongoing training to stay current with best practices, and am fully insured for all my services.
Drawing on this background, I offer not only compassionate, personalised in-home care but also companionship services, such as accompanying clients on outings they can no longer attend alone, ensuring each client receives the attentive support and experiences they deserve.
I have a level 2 Diploma in care, a level 2 Distinction in adult care, and a current enhanced DBS certificate.

Josie is an absolute treasure. She has a heart of gold & is kindness itself. For well over a year she has been working for me on a weekly basis sometimes more as & when needed & thankfully continues to do so.
Without fail she arrives on the dot so I can certainly vouch for her 100% reliability & punctuality. She has a wealth of experience gained over a variety of care settings & it shows - her ‘people skills’ are exceptional. She is also very flexible & willing to adapt to any changes that may arise. Nothing is too much trouble, she is never fazed and is always prepared to go the extra mile if needed. Plus I have very much valued her useful suggestions & ideas for beneficial changes both practical and creative.
Most importantly she is always cheerful & positive with a ready smile & great sense of humour. I look forward to her invaluable help & company each week with much pleasure.

Josie is a first rate carer. She has been caring for our mum for two years and always goes above and beyond what is expected. She undertakes personal care and covers a wide range of household duties. She is very flexible, thoughtful and considerate, we don’t know what we would do without her and have no hesitation in recommending her.
