At Canny Care I offer a tailor made service that puts you at the heart of what I do.
Services are varied and are offered in 1-8 hour slots, depending on what you need (I don’t believe in rushed 15 minute appointments).
I work in a small geographic area so I can give my clients the very best service I can.

Alex helps us out with wellfare checks on my elderly mother while we are away.
Knowing that Alex is around to respond to unforseen events allows us to holiday with peace of mind.
My mother has really taken to Alex and mentions her all the time saying what a lovely person Alex is and how much she enjoys her company.
Alex is great to deal with and does everything within her powers to accomodate us.
I can't recommend her highly enough.

My carer alex helps me alot she very caring and always on time we get on so well also alex is lovely we always have fun when we see each other on Mondays and Thursdays alex is very reliable too alex teaches me how to cook meals like pasta dishes I've learned alot and alex takes me to on Thursdays mencap walk and the discos fridays very month too she really good carer

I met Alex and now I say she a really nice person and I think she does amazing at her job and I think she’s a down. To earth person once you meet her she chat away I couldn’t ask for a nicer person to come across she a friend and I could believe it 5 months but she is so loving at the disco she so welcoming too

Alex has been an absolute life line for my daughter. Without Alex's compassionate and reliable support she would be unable to live a fulfilled life as she is unable to go out independently. Alex ensures she is able to access the community as she takes her shopping and to classes and clubs. But additionally to this, Alex always understands the importance of Rachael gaining life skills, so she supports my daughter with cooking lessons, money management and healthy living. Rachael's wellbeing is always top of Alex's agenda and she often makes sure Rachael does not feel isolated and has often gone out of her way, using her own time to provide support to Rachael. I can't thank Alex enough, to us she isn't just a carer, she's now a family friend.

I have known Alex for several years and she is a trustworthy person who has always been there for me.
This has ranged from doing my weekly shopping to travelling to the north east to purchase a scooter, she arranged for my hospital equipment to be installed in my home whilst I was in hospital and regularly visited to bring me what I needed.
We have a really good bond and I see her as a friend and confidant.

Alex , has been employed by my wife and myself as a couple in. our eighties, over 10 months.. She carries out general household tasks for us on a weekly basis , these tasks are carried out with a cheerful efficiency and a very helpful manner.
In summary we have found her to be of cheerful nature, honest, and caring we look forward to seeing her every week.

Alex has been a fantastic and unique carer for our elderly mother who wants to live independently but is very fragile, and lives a long way away from family. Alex takes a strategic “whole life” view of her client’s needs – medical (she is very well versed in the local NHS systems), practical, personal and social. My mother liked and trusted her on the first visit, and Alex has done everything from meal preparation, helping with phone installation, hospital visiting and even taking our mother out to a classical music concert. These things mean a very great deal to an elderly person and Alex’s company enriches our mother’s life. She has a strong overview of our mother’s situation - she is the person we always consult on the next steps of care. She is very communicative – we are kept very well up to date – and it is always a pleasure to talk with her. She has shown enormous flexibility in being able to attend and deal with unexpected events and we would be absolutely lost without her!
