This symbol means that the enterprise leader has a portfolio (folder) containing all the elements that show how they meet our Doing It Right Standards. It will provide you with information on the way that they work, checks they have in place, policies, procedures, and more. You can ask to see it to help you make any care choices.
Charlbury Men’s Group offers friendship, conversation and connection.
We offer local men the chance to meet others, make connections and enjoy good conversation in a friendly, welcoming setting.
The Charlbury Men’s Group began with its first meeting on Friday, 4 July 2025, and has grown into a small, sociable network for men who would like to meet like-minded people locally. It is not a formal society, has no constitution and currently charges no membership fee. Instead, its focus is simple: providing a relaxed space where men can talk, listen, share interests and build friendships.
Meetings are held once a month in central Charlbury and usually last about an hour.
Although the group is open and light-hearted in tone, it also recognises an important need. Many men can find it difficult to make new social connections, particularly later in life or after changes in work, family or routine. The group aims to offer a safe, informal environment where conversation can be as serious or as cheerful as members wish.
The Charlbury Community Workshop has supported the group by providing a meeting space and helping to keep it free and accessible. The Workshop’s wider connection with the UK Men’s Shed movement also reflects the group’s practical, community-minded spirit: friendship, shared interests and mutual support without pressure or formality.
The group is for men only and is particularly keen to hear from those who would like to meet new people in and around Charlbury.
