IT2U! is a new service (part of Community Car Service, Tunbridge Wells) for people that do not have either access to broadband/internet or the ability to look something up for themselves. We come to your home at a pre-arranged time and bring the internet to you! If you need to make a purchase eg: new fridge/freezer, we can go online and let you see the choices available. We will assist you to measure the space to ensure that your new equipment fits and will then place the order online for you. You pay for the purchase using your card – we will book the delivery of your new goods and then we will ring you to remind you about the delivery and then a few days afterwards to make sure everything went smoothly. We use our email address as a contact point for the supplier. This service has an hourly rate – please call for more details.
Community Car Service provides affordable, safe transport for our customers – we will take you anywhere you need to go, including all London hospitals. This service is for anybody over retirement age, anyone registered disabled or vulnerable and anybody who is unable to use public transport. To access the transport service, to register with us, there is a small yearly fee – we then make a charge per mile. Once a member, you also are entitled to participate in all of our social inclusion events – days to the seaside, festive dinners, lunch club and coffee mornings.
