Companions Who Care

Do you find it difficult to manage your housework and laundry (including changing beds)? Are you feeling that you may benefit from some help around the house by someone reliable and recommended who could visit you for approximately 2 hours every week?

Would you like some help with your cooking and shopping?

Are you struggling to keep on top of your post / paying bills etc?

Do you sometimes feel lonely or isolated?  Would you perhaps like a regular, mature person to visit you on a regular basis to take you out and about – or just sit and chat over a cuppa?

Do you feel that you do not need a ‘carer’ but would welcome a little bit of low level support to help you to remain independent at home?

If any of the above statements hit home with you, then ‘Companions Who Care’ may be what you are looking for.

We offer visits that fit around what is important to you – each visit can be different, depending on how you feel  – maybe cleaning, shopping, sorting things for a charity shop, or a trip to the local garden centre for a coffee?

We do not wear a uniform and we are not carers.  Companions are mature individuals with life experience and bags full of common sense.  We are all checked through the police DBS service and have references.

Donna who runs the service is a Registered Nurse and therefore understands many health issues that older people may be struggling with.   This helps us to provide tailored support for clients.  Donna’s experience also helps to reassure carers if they wish to take a break and have some respite visits from our Companions.

Please contact us by phone, email or through our website if you would like to know more.
