Connect With Care

This provider has yet to add availability information.

Hello I’m Rebecca and I set up my business “Connect With Care” after working as an occupational therapist for 13 years and as a support worker for Age UK Oxfordshire. I have extensive experience working with people with mental health problems, dementia, learning disabilities and physical conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and mobility problems.

I’m here to support you in whatever helps make your life more manageable and enjoyable. I’m passionate about giving you hope, and enabling you to make your own decisions and choices so that you achieve a greater sense of purpose, meaning and fulfilment in your life. I’m also a great believer in equal rights and diversity, and will help you increase your sense of belonging and connection within your community.

I have a kind, caring and empathic nature, and I’ll work alongside you and your family/carers to help meet your needs and whatever is important to you. I’m an honest, loyal and reliable person. I will respect your privacy and dignity, and keep your information safe and confidential. I look forward to getting to know you – including your likes and dislikes, values and opinions, and your hobbies and interests.

Support I can provide include:

  • help in your home eg paying bills
  • assisting with cooking meals
  • help with basic household tasks eg laundry
  • prompting with medication
  • accompanying to medical appointments
  • assistance with shopping
  • encouraging hobbies and interests eg games, crosswords, arts and crafts, reminiscence activities such as life story albums
  • staying in touch with family and friends
  • encouraging life skills and independence
  • staying with you for a few hours so your family can go out
  • companionship and socialising eg lunches out, day trips
  • introducing you to local clubs, day centres etc

Please note I am DBS (police) checked and have public liability insurance.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact me and I’d be happy to discuss further.
