At Cook For Life we are passionate about sharing our knowledge to encourage all to get involved in the kitchen. The Cook For Life short courses have been created by a chef who has over 10 years’ experience of teaching cookery within the community. Our wealth of knowledge has been used to create cookery programmes which are specifically designed to aid attendees to learn and enjoy the principles of healthy cooking on a budget. We aim to take away the mystery and equip our groups with the confidence to cook healthy meals from scratch in their own homes.
Our recent Healthy Cooking on a Budget and Slow Cooker courses have been rolled out across Tonbridge and Malling and Tunbridge Wells. We have partnered with FEAST Food project, West Kent MIND mental health charity and the TMBC Counter Weight groups to recruit participants who will get the most from the courses. Our recently launched Youth Cooking Course gives us the chance to explore specific recipes relevant to the needs of this age group; we will focus on high protein ingredients e.g. lean meat, fish, eggs, beans and nuts to combine with a wealth of fresh fruit and vegetables to prepare a range of dishes suitable for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
We are looking to expand our offering and work with organisations to create bespoke courses suitable for their needs. Do get in touch to discuss further, look forward to hearing from you!
