Emma Gladstone Cares

I am a support worker and I have gained a lot of experience working with the NHS for the last 12 years. I have worked with the oncology team based in Exeter and with the urgent community response team in Tiverton, Cullompton and Exeter, helping to keep people at home, or return home from hospital quicker; supporting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, medications – prompting and making sure they are renewed. Now I would like to extend that with domestic tasks and decluttering, so loved ones are able to continue their care in their own home. I have gained my NVQ level 3 for Health and Social Care.

I would like to be the next level of care, helping patients to remain at home, with the families knowing that their loved ones are receiving the best possible attention. I have had a lot of experience dealing with end of life patients

I am trained in moving and handling, personal care, medications, as well as on-going stoma and catheter care. I am able to carry out skin integrity checks to help with pressure damage. I have basic food and hygiene training, also. I can provide enabling or respite for main carers. Or if your loved one just needs help with the end of the day routine to get ready and into bed, I am able to help with this.
