Dance Fitness is a fun and creative way to exercise using movement to music. Sit & Stay Fit is the seated version that does exercise the whole body including the legs. My classes are suitable for older adults including those with medical conditions, and people new to exercise. I aim to improve people’s strength, balance and flexibility to do everyday tasks more easily, and maintain mobility and independence. My classes also contribute to cardiovascular fitness and improving coordination and rhythmic ability. I use a variety of music in my classes mostly classic pop, songs from musicals, and we often use props such as scarves and ribbons for extra fun. The classes are run for 1 hour.  Join us for tea or coffee and a chat after the class at no extra cost.

I am a Keep Fit Association qualified and insured Dance Fitness and Sit & Stay Fit Teacher and First Aider. I trained as as fitness professional after retiring from the NHS with 45 years service as a nurse and midwife. I teach at Ipswich Institute as well as my own class at All Saints Church Hall.

Reviews of Fit For Life with Bona

Bona leads the group with confidence and genuine love for what she does.
I might be younger than most, but I got a great deal from her classes, in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Her experience and knowledge shines through, just like her warm enthusiastic personality

I have attended these classes for 2 years, and have definitely felt the benefit of them. My mobility and confidence have improved a lot. I feel that I can work safely in Bona's classes as we are encouraged to only do what is comfortable for us. I have also enjoyed the camaraderie of the class, and the music Bona uses.

This are really great classes of chair exercises, really fun, well explained, taking care of us not to over doing it. I started attending as part of my rehabilitation post spinal surgery, and it has helped me so much! I really recommend 'Fit for life' with Bona.

This is a fabulous weekly term-time class.
It is very welcoming, friendly and fun!
The exercises are skilfully arranged to music and although they are all seated, they still give a good physical work out to participants of all ages, ability and gender.
Bona is very well qualified as a Keep Fit Instructor with the nationally recognised KFA (Keep Fit Association). She also is a retired Registered Nurse and Midwife, so has a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology; and a wealth of practical experience, which enhances her ability to tailor the classes appropriately.
I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent class.
