We are a not for profit social enterprise community interest company based in Tameside, Greater Manchester and our aim is to provide activities to the over 50’s in order to help older people to improve their health and well-being and overcome isolation.

We offer exercise sessions and social gatherings to older people in Tameside, and also some parts of East Manchester (funding permitted).

We’ve also recently been awarded Lottery Funding to provide a chaperon service which offers 4 free 2 hour outings to people aged 50 and over living in Tameside. The transport costs for this service are just 60p per mile.

In addition we are now able to offer older people a little more extra support through our following range of home services which are offered at an hourly competitive rate from £15:

Domestic Support

Help with cleaning, laundry, ironing, light cooking, and help when you are trying to pay a bill. We can also go shopping for you if you don’t feel up to it, and sit with you for a chat and a cuppa!

Medical Support Service

You can use this service, subject to availability, to get to hospital appointments, dentist, eye test, or visit your doctor and our staff will stay with you for the whole appointment. You also have the option of using this as your free chaperon visits which have a transport charge of just 60p per mile.

Welcome Home

Sometimes coming out of hospital can be a very worrying time, particularly if your stay is for more than a day or two, because of surgery or a long illness. We can now offer you the support you need in conjunction with the hospital and social care staff. We can be at your home to meet you or we can go shopping before you come out to help set your mind at rest. Transport home can  also be arranged, subject to availability.
